White Raven develops a visual search engine for places by augmenting the physical world outside the vehicle with geo-aware information, retail offers and entertainment. Its landmark recognition engine is based on deep neural networks that extract the visual information required to identify the landmarks in an image, and/or localize the photographer even under variations in viewing angle, lighting, sensor type, and resolution. The platform offers auto manufacturers, mobility service providers, application developers, and content creators a new tool to attract and monetize the attention of connected car passengers to the in-car embedded clients and enables location-based services such as social networks, travel, and local content providers to use a high-frequency content delivery mechanism that is more engaging than existing mobile experiences.
